Due to industrial processes and other reasons, some suspended foam may be generated during the slurry transportation process, such as flotation in mineral processing. There will be foam in the slurry of the flotation industry, so ordinary slurry pumps are not suitable for conveying this kind of foamy slurry in mineral processing.
The pump head of foam pump is double shell structure, the overflow part is made of hard nickel, high chrome or rubber material, and its transmission part is the same as EVM slurry pump. The hopper charging box is of steel plate structure, which can be covered with lining according to different conveying media, and the pump outlet position can be changed every 45 degrees. The pump can effectively eliminate the foam in the slurry when it works, and it can still work normally under the condition of insufficient feed, without any shaft seal and shaft seal water.
Foam pump is suitable for all kinds of flotation process, and it is the ideal pump for transporting foam slurry. The transportation capacity is far more than other forms. Foam pumps are also suitable for metallurgy, mining, coal, chemical industry and other industries for conveying strongly corrosive and corrosion-resistant slurry containing foam.
Foam pump use precautions:
1. First of all, pay attention to the adjustment of the impeller. In order to ensure the efficient operation of the pump, you need to adjust the gap between the impeller and the guard plate in time.
2. During the running process, add appropriate amount of grease.
3. If the foam pump is not used for a long time, the bearings should be rotated 1/4 turn by hand every week, so that the bearings can evenly bear the static load and external vibration.
4. Before stopping the pump, let the pump pump clear water for a period of time as far as possible to clean the slurry flowing through the pump, and then close the inlet gate valve and outlet valve in turn.
Before the invention of foam pumps, foam is usually sprayed by aerosol products, that is, the use of liquefied gas to make the spray expansion to form foam, or the use of post-foaming agent to make the spray colloid to form foam. The finger pressure foam pump is characterized by its pump body consisting of two parts: the air pump and the liquid pump. The liquid is sprayed after mixing with the air fully in the pump body, with stable spray volume, simple operation, not affected by the consumer's use method, and good foam quality.
Compared with foam aerosol products, the finger pressure foam pump has several obvious advantages: firstly, it does not need to be filled with propellant, will not pollute the environment, there is no danger of flammability and explosiveness, does not require metal containers and sealing of inflatable equipment, low cost, can be reused; Secondly, the liquid formulation of the finger pressure foam pump is mostly water-based, which is essentially non-volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and it is worthwhile to promote it. Third, containers of various shapes can be used, including square, triangular and oval. In addition, the container is not pressurized before use, and the container material requirements have a wider range of choices.
